Read MoreNestled at the foot of the Great Western Tiers, Mole Creek Cabins is simple, comfortable self-contained accommodation that is the perfect base for exploring the beautiful surrounding areas of Northern Tasmania.
Family owned and run, our property is set amongst cottage gardens, open farmland and spectacular views of the mountains. We offer comfortable Studio and Family Cabins, along with our spacious 4-bedroom Trappers Lodge and our 3-bedroom FarmHouse.
Located in the heart of Tasmania’s Central North, we are just 10 minutes from the small town of Deloraine and are surrounded by some of the region’s most spectacular natural attractions. Explore the caves and wilderness of Mole Creek, discover the walking trails of the Great Western Tiers, visit local small towns and producers, or venture further afield to Cradle Mountain and beyond. Launceston and Devonport are both approximately 45 minutes away by car, making Mole Creek an ideal base for discovering Northern Tasmania.
Our cabins provide everything you need for a comfortable stay, including fully equipped kitchens, private bathrooms and balconies overlooking the Great Western Tiers. Each cabin is air-conditioned and heated, while the Trappers Lodge and Farmhouse also feature a cosy fireplace.
After a day of exploring, settle in, enjoy the mountain views and relax in the fresh Tasmanian air.

Take time to listen to the music of underground creeks and soak up the silence of abandoned river passages. This easy tour caters for all age groups and levels of fitness.The Great Cathedral and Glow Worms Tour of Marakoopa Cave Tour requires medium fitness to ascend the stairway. Delicate formations and beautiful colours are a feature as you climb into the Cathedral chamber itself, where voices are amplified by the amazing natural acoustics.Be sure to allow an extra 15 minutes to enjoy the enchanting Fernglade Walk from the ticket office parking area to the Marakoopa Cave entrance.The King Solomons Cave Tour is suitable for all age groups and levels of fitness.
